Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a performer, writer, and actress in America for over forty years. Most famously, she is known for her character Ginger Grant (in the 60s television show Gilligan's Island). Bettle's musical Two's Company was her first stage role in the 50s. Following that, she performed on Broadway in a variety of productions until 1957 when Li'l Abner became huge at the National Theater. Her album, It's too late for Tina in the same year. Her debut appearance in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre which was a 1958 drama. It received wide applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. When she was a student of Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. The next memorable role she played was in 1964. She signed with CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise maintained a successful career balancing Broadway TV with Hollywood and portraying an empathetic, as opposed to her glamour-doll image received. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and for her role as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the past couple of years she's also earned her name as an accomplished director on numerous well-known TV shows including Supernatural or The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family later moved to Toronto for her early years. After being chosen for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She is a resident of Vancouver ever since.
