She holds the record of having four total World Cup victories. She has an extensive and prestigious track record of success in American athletics. She's one of just six females in the history of sports who have won all five World Cup races for alpine-skiing. She was the winner of the World Cup 82 times. The best skier around the globe and the most popular American ski racer has decided to take a break following the World Championship which will take place in Sweden. Following a string of illnesses and injuries, the three-time World Cup champion has decided to take a break. The announcement of her retirement came through social media.
