Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances in television shows in the role of Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in the ABC comedy Roseanne. Perry did not decide to pursue acting as a career until after she had reached adulthood because her parents were afraid of the negative impact stress might have. Perry was a shy teenager and did not act. The actress began her acting career in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was moved to the university from Boston University. Perry managed to get tiny TV roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent when she finished her degree. The feeling of homelessness, however, brought her to California to return, where she started performing in the stage. She and her mother starred on Broadway with her as part of The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she starred together with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie. The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. Her father played her character in her role on the ABC show Scandal. The same year, she portrayed a child version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother in a youthful version. The part was offered to her through audition, regardless of the fact that she has a family tie to the character.
